The permanent exhibition “Lyonel Feininger. Works from the Dr Hermann Klumpp collection” is accessible all year round. When changing from one special exhibition to another, some parts of the gallery need to be closed.
The Lyonel Feininger Gallery itself is wheelchair-accessible and about 500 m from the parking areas. The path is mainly cobbled or with sett paving. The entrance doors to the gallery do not open automatically. Inside the building, our exhibition rooms are accessible via a lift. Seating is available in the exhibition areas. Mobile folding chairs are also available when going around the museum. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor. A lift can be used to access our studio.

Photography and filming in the museum
Photography – for private, non-commercial purposes only – is permitted in the permanent exhibition without a flash, tripod or selfie stick, as long as the artworks are kept safe and the photographer maintains a distance of least 50 cm and treats other visitors with consideration. This permission does not apply to third-party rights. Permission is required to photograph or share images of content protected by copyright or personal rights.
Individual works which may not be photographed or filmed on the instructions of the owner or author are labelled accordingly.
Photography and filming may be prohibited in special exhibitions. Our staff will be happy to inform you.
Cloakroom & lockers
For insurance reasons, no rucksacks of any size, or large bags may be taken into the exhibition rooms.
Lockers are available near the entrance to safely store your items of clothing and bags. They are free to use, but some lockers require a 1-euro piece which is returned to you after their use. Bulky items of all kinds must be handed in, such as umbrellas, rucksacks and bags larger than DIN A3 (approx. 40 x 30 cm).
No liability is assumed for the cloakroom and the contents of the lockers.
Our vouchers are available at the museum ticket office or via a bank transfer. They can be used for products in the gallery shop, exhibition tickets or museum-run events such as guided tours, workshops and presentations.
